Management Consultant, Social Entrepreneur and Business Analyst

Michael has championed various funded programmes over the last 25 years, and he is a qualified Management and Business Consultant, Social Entrepreneur, and a Chartered Company Secretary (F.C.I.S), and FCMI.

Michael brings 14 years’ experience working for 5 London Local Authorities, 8 years in Senior Management and, he has delivered consultancy projects to over 30 local authorities England.

As a Social Entrepreneur he commits to help the widest number of individuals within the community to build their capacity and strengthen their capabilities to overcome adversity, by encouraging people to embrace innovation and create alternative routes to success and wealth. He has  worked with, and set up Social Enterprises, Voluntary and Community Organisations, Partnerships, Sole Traders, Private Limited Companies. and assisted clients in raising finance for growth.

Turning Disadvantage into Advantage

Michael Spooner, who faced the challenges of losing and regaining his sight, has transformed adversity into inspiration. Having lost his vision at 13, regained it through groundbreaking surgery at 16, only to face blindness again at 21 in the midst of pursuing a Law Degree, he shifted gears to study Business and Management.

This journey fuelled his determination to empower others facing disabilities or barriers, urging them to seize control rather than be controlled. Michael advocates for proactive adaptation, envisioning alternative and effective strategies to prevent exclusion from the labour market or hinderance of business objectives due to personal circumstances.

Drawing from two years of dedicated research, he has developed a robust Business Innovation Toolkit and crafted 12 dynamic, motivational Training Programs. These resources, now integral to the consultancy delivered by his team, embody Michael's Commitment to inspiring resilience, fostering adaptability, and championing inclusivity in the face of adversity.
